J. Davidson Frame, PhD, PMP
Academic Dean
Dr. Frame has been a major player in technology management
and project management education and training since the
1980s. He has written nine books and more than 30 scholarly
articles on these subjects. His Managing
Projects in Organizations (2003)
is a business best seller. His most recent book, Framing
Decisions: Decision Making that Accounts for Irrationality,
People and Constraints, was published in 2013.
Prior to joining UMT, Dr. Frame served as a Professor of
Management Science at The George Washington University
(1979-1998), where he was Chairman of the Management Science
Department (1988-89), and Director of the International
Center for Project Management Excellence (1995-98). He also
established the Master of Science in Project Management
degree program at The George Washington University.
Dr. Frame has been active in the Project Management
Institute (PMI), where he served a total of eleven years on
the Board of Directors, served as Director of the
Certification Program and Director of Educational Services.
He received PMI's Distinguished Service Award and Person of
the Year Award. In 2004, he was made a Fellow of PMI.
Dr. Frame has trained more than 35,000 managers worldwide
over the past two decades. He has taught technology
management, project management, and general management
courses at organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Credit
Suisse, Fannie Mae, AT&T, Motorola, Sprint, Lucent, Boeing,
IBM, and Marriott.
He holds the following degrees: a Ph.D. and an M.A. from
American University, where he focused on development
economics and quantitative methods; and a B.A. from the
College of Wooster, with a focus on history and mathematics.
He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). |

Yanping Chen, MD, PhD, PMP
President
Dr. Chen has been running major education and training
programs in China and the United States since the mid-1980s.
Prior to coming to the United States in 1987, she was
planning director for China's manned space flight program,
where 200 projects were being carried out concurrently.
Dr. Chen is the Founder and President of the Yankee Clipper
Group, an international training and consulting firm. Prior
to establishing the Yankee Clipper Group, she was an
International Fellow at the Smithsonian Institution, a
Visiting Scholar at The George Washington University, a
Director of Planning and Management for a large government
organization, a Senior Research Scientist, and a
Cardiologist.
She has taught at The George Washington University, the
International Space University, and Beijing Medical
University. Her areas of expertise include: international
business management; project management; public
administration; public policy; science and technology policy
and management; entrepreneurship; and leadership.
In 1992-1995, Dr. Chen served on the Certification Committee
of the Project Management Institute (PMI). She was elected
PMI's Board of Directors in 2005 and again in 2008. In 2008,
she was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Project
Management Institute. In 2012, she was made a Fellow of
PMI.
Dr. Chen has authored more than twenty publications covering
a broad range of international science and technology policy
and management issues as well as medical technical issues.
She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
She holds the following degrees: Ph.D., Public Policy, The
George Washington University; M.A., Science, Technology &
Public Policy, The George Washington University; and M.D.,
Bethune Medical University, Shijiazhuang, China. She is a

Gregory J. Marsh, MSCS, MCDBA, MCSE
Undergraduate Dean
Mr. Marsh has over 34 years’ experience in Computer Science
and Information Technology plus 11 years experience in
Electronics Technology. He has managed major defense
contracts (7 years), lead System Software development
contracts (5 years), held the Position of Chief Technology
Officer in two corporations (11 years), and is now both the
Undergraduate Dean and the Director of Information
Technology at the University of Management and Technology.
He has mentored and trained hundreds of employees in
Computer Science, Information Technology and the management
of technology contracts. He is the author of An
Introduction to Programming for the Absolute Beginner,
published as a Kindle Book in 2013.
He holds the following degrees: Master of Science in
Computer Science (UMT), Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science (UMT), and Associate of Science in Electronics
Technology (Belleville Area College, Belleville, IL). He
holds the following Industry Certifications: Microsoft
Certified System Engineer, Microsoft Certified Database
Administrator, Enterasys Certified System Engineer, and
Avaya Certified Engineer.

Thomas Block, MBA, PMP
Mr. Block is an associate professor at UMT. He is a leading
authority on establishing and maintaining project offices.
He is co-author (with UMT Dean J. Davidson Frame) of The
Project Office: A Key to Managing Projects Effectively.
Prior to joining UMT, Mr. Block directed the Project
Management Consulting Group at EDS and held a similar
position at Perot Systems. He also supervised the
implementation of project offices for Xerox, Moore, Bechtel,
Immigration and Naturalization Service, Ameritech, and Dow
Jones. Mr. Block presented numerous papers on project
management at the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Seminar/Symposiums, Project World, and Project Leadership
Conferences. Mr. Block was also an Infantry, Airborne,
Ranger officer in the US Army serving in Europe, Korea,
Vietnam and the Pentagon.
His areas of expertise include project management, project
office, project start-ups, project intervention and
recovery, "just-in-time" training.
He holds an MBA from Syracuse University and a B.A. in
Accounting from Canisius College. He is a certified Project
Management Professional (PMP.) |

Kenny Burrow, PhD, PgMP, PMP, PCP, CM, CSP
Dr. Burrow is a Risk and Process Analyst and Project
Manager. Prior to joining UMT he worked as Program Manager
and Project Manager for the military and several government
contractors. He has served as an Adjunct Professor for
Webster University as well as an instructor for the
University of Maryland and Central Texas College. Dr. Burrow
owns his own project/process management consulting business.
Dr. Burrow received his PhD in Business Administration from
Columbia Southern University, an M.S. in Systems Engineering
from Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in Operations
Management from the University of Arkansas, an M.B.A. in
Project Management from the University of Management and
Technology, a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Southern
Illinois University, a B.S. in Computer Technology from the
City University of New York, and a Certificate in Process
Management from the University of Texas.
He holds Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project
Management Professional (PMP), Project+ Certified
Professional (PCP), Certified Manager (CM), and Certified
Safety Professional (CM) certifications. He is also DAWIA
certified in Program Management, Systems Planning,
Development, Research, and Engineering, Acquisition
Logistics, and Information Resource Management. |

Douglas Kildsig, MS
Mr. Kildsig’s special area of interest is business strategy
and policy development and implementation. He has worked in
a large corporate environment, holding positions in
Marketing Management and Project Management. He has also
been involved in the business planning, strategy
development, and general management of several start-up
business ventures.
Mr. Kildsig currently devotes his career as adjunct faculty
for several universities, teaching in the areas of
Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy & Policy Development and
Implementation, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business
Law, Supervision & Leadership, and Organizational Theory &
Behavior.
Mr. Kildsig holds an M.S. in Management from Purdue
University, W. Lafayette, IN and a B.S in Management from
Purdue. |

James Lewis, PhD
Dr. Lewis is an experienced project manager who teaches
project management seminars throughout the United States,
England, and the Far East. His solid, no-nonsense approach
is largely the result of the 15 years he spent in industry,
working as an electrical engineer, engaged in the design and
development of communication equipment.
He is president of The Lewis Institute, Inc., a training and
consulting company specializing in project management, which
he founded in 1981. From 1980 to 2000, Dr. Lewis trained
over 20,000 supervisors and managers in Argentina, Canada,
England, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico,
Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, and the United States. He
continues to train about 1,000 individuals each year.
He has held various positions, including project manager,
product engineering manager, and chief engineer, for
Aerotron, Inc. and ITT Telecommunications, both of Raleigh,
NC. He also was a quality manager for ITT Telecom, managing
a department of 63 quality engineers, line inspectors, and
test technicians.
Dr. Lewis is the author of: Project
Planning, Scheduling and Control, Third Edition; Mastering
Project Management; The Project Manager's Desk Reference,
Second Edition; Working
Together: The 12 Principles Employed by Boeing Commercial
Aircraft to Manage Projects, Teams, and the Organization;
Fundamentals of Project Management; How To Build and Manage
a Winning Project Team; and Team-Based Project Management.
He is co-author, with Bob Wysocki, ofThe World-Class
Project Manager, published by Perseus in 2001.
Dr. Lewis has a Ph.D. in Psychology and a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering, both from North Carolina State University in

Robert McGrath, PhD, PMP
Dr. McGrath has devoted a substantial portion of his career
to the aerospace sector, beginning with assignments as an
aircraft/munitions maintenance officer in the US Air Force,
then working in the private sector with a number of large
aerospace firms. In 1991, he made a career switch to
academia, focusing on general management and project
management.
Dr. McGrath has taught business management and project
management at Louisiana State University, Southern
University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and the
University of Maryland, where he was Program Director of the
project management program. He is the author of Project-Driven
Technology Strategy, published in 2012.
Dr. McGrath received the PhD in Business Administration from
Louisiana State University. He also holds an MBA (from
Xavier University) and MPA (University of Northern
Colorado). He earned his BS degree from the US Air Force
Academy. |

Michael O’Brochta, PMP
Michael O’Brochta has been engaged in the theory and
practice of project management for more than thirty years.
He was a major project management thought leader at a large
Federal government agency, where he helped drive project
management practice. He was rewarded for his efforts by
receiving a Medal of Merit from his agency. He is an expert
in managing large and small science and technology projects.
He is also an expert on establishing and running project
offices, developing and managing project portfolios, and
developing project management capabilities among project
workers. He has written and lectured extensively on project
management practice in organizations.
Mr. O’Brochta has a BS in Electrical Engineering awarded by
the Newark College of Engineering. He also earned a Master’s
in Engineering Management from the George Washington
University. He is a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP). |

Francis Piacine, MS, PMP
Mr. Francis J. Piacine is an adjunct faculty member. A
graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors
degree in Business (Economics), he served for over 23 years
in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve as a logistics officer
including a 2003 tour as a supply battalion commander in
Operation Iraqi Freedom. He recently completed in Masters of
Science in Management (Acquisition) with the University of
Management and Technology.
Mr. Piacine has served as a logistics and program analyst
for Department of Army and Navy since 1987 and has developed
extensive experience in program management over the course
of his various assignments there. He is DAWIA certified and
is a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff
College and member (retired) of the Army Reserve Acquisition
Corps. He completed certification as a Lean Six SIGMA Black
Belt in July 2007.
Mr. Piacine holds an M.S. in Management from the University
of Management and technology, and a B.B.A. from the
Pennsylvania State University. |

Bryan Parker, MS, PMP, DFSS
Bryan Parker is a successful project manager and business
technologist who has worked extensively on projects within
the financial services sector over the past 25 years. He has
led projects in support of some of the largest bank mergers
in U.S. history. Additionally, he has worked on numerous
projects for the FDIC and USAID. His areas of project
expertise include IT infrastructure, mergers and
transitions, business process improvement, Six Sigma, and
International Development.
Mr. Parker holds both an M.S. in Management and an M.S. in
Computer Science from the University of Management and
Technology, and a BBA from West Texas A&M University.
Additionally, he has a Diploma in Commercial Banking from
the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern
Methodist University. He is a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP). |

Ross Small, MPA
Mr. Small plays a lead role in UMT's Criminal Justice
programs. He joined the Virginia Air National Guard in 1999
as a Security Police Officer and has been on active duty at
the Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC, as well as in
Richmond, VA, in Charleston, SC, and at the Incirlik Air
Base in Turkey. During his service, he also participated in
helping evacuees in New Orleans during the aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina. Prior to joining UMT, Mr. Small was a
Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System and a Federal Law Enforcement
Officer for the Transportation Security Administration.
Mr. Small holds an MPA with a focus on Administration of
Justice from George Mason University, and a B.S. in Criminal
Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating
Cum Laude. He was a member of Lambda Alpha Epsilon (The
American Criminal Justice Association) from 1999 to 2003. |

Alan Stretton, MA
Alan M. Stretton recently retired as Adjunct Professor of
Project Management in the Faculty of Design, Architecture
and Building at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS),
Australia. He began working with UTS in 1988 to develop and
deliver a Master of Project Management program. Prior to
joining UTS, Mr Stretton worked in the building and
construction industries in Australia, New Zealand and the
USA for some 38 years, which included the project management
of construction, R&D, introduction of information and
control systems, internal management education programs, and
organizational change projects.
Mr. Stretton was Chairman of the Standards Committee of the
Project Management Institute from late 1989 to early 1992,
where he worked to upgrade the Project Management Body of
Knowledge so that it reflected current practice. He held a
similar position with the Australian Institute of Project
Management (AIPM), and was elected a Life Fellow of AIPM in
1996. He was a member of the Core Working Group in the
development of the Australian National Competency Standards
for Project Management. He has published over seventy
professional articles.
He holds an honorary Doctorate in Strategy, Program and
Project Management from ESC, Lille, France , an MA in
Mathematics from Oxford University, UK and a BE in Civil
Engineering from Tasmania. |

Jody T. Uyanik, MS
Ms. Uyanik is an international policy analyst, project
manager, and educator. Before joining UMT, she was associate
director for the Master's Degree Program in Project
Management at the George Washington University, where she
launched GW's distance learning effort in project
management. Ms. Uyanik worked in Russia for three years,
managing business development projects for Deloitte & Touche
and serving as director of the Voronezh Business Support
Center. Previously, she was director of international trade
and foreign relations for the National Governors'
Association.
Ms. Uyanik's areas of expertise include: public policy and
planning, small business development, effective business
communications, project management, human resource
management, government-business relations, strategic
planning, policy formulation, and curriculum design.
She has lectured for The George Washington University, the
Voronezh State University in Russia, and the Yankee
Clipper Group. She is fluent in Russian and French.
Ms. Uyanik holds an M.S., in International Relations from
Georgetown University; and a B.A. in Political Science and
French from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She
has taken doctoral courses at George Mason University. |

Vijay Verma, MBA, PMP
Vijay Verma is a leading authority on organizations and the
human side of managing projects. He has written extensively
about people on projects, including Human Resource Skills
for the Project Manager. He was made a Fellow of PMI in
2011 in recognition of his scholarly contribution to the
project management field.
Mr. Verma holds an MBA from the unviersity of British
Columbia, Canada, an M.E. in Electrical Engineering from the
Technical University of Nova Scotia, Canada and a B.S. in
Engineering from Pubjob University in India. |

Robert James Voetsch, PhD, PMP
Dr. Voetsch has extensive experience in the management of
diverse projects around the globe. He has worked as: project
manager, World Health Organization, Sudan; country project
manager, United Nations Volunteers, Sri Lanka; field
supervisor, United States Peace Corps, North Yemen; and
field supervisor, United States Peace Corps, South Korea.
His areas of expertise include: project management design,
development and implementation; strategic planning; start-up
program organization and integration; and management of
multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural projects.
Dr. Voetsch has worked as a consultant/trainer at The George
Washington University, the Florida Institute of Technology,
and the Project Management Service Bureau. He has been a
trainer for the Yankee
Clipper Group and
Louis Berger International.
He received a Ph.D in Management and Organization from The
George Washington University, an M.S. in Project Management
from the George Washington University, an M.A. in Public
Administration from American University, and a B.A. in

Julie Pal-Agrawal, PhD
Dr. Julie Pal-Agrawal has taught English Literature,
Philosophy, Cultural Theory, World Religion, Technical
Writing and Composition classes in both on-line and
traditional classroom settings for over a decade, during
which time she has also had the opportunity to participate
in curricular design, has served as a subject matter
specialist, and as a teacher-trainer and faculty mentor for
new instructors. Currently Dr. Pal-Agrawal is working on a
publication relating to Barbary Captivity narratives in
Early America.
For Dr. Pal-Agrawal, online education is an exciting medium
through which to communicate serious academic content within
a rigorous program. Dr. Pal-Agrawal feels it is her mission
in the online classroom to provide knowledge, positive
guidance and encouragement, while ultimately enabling
students to become knowledge practitioners in the real
world.
Dr. Pal-Agrawal holds a Ph.D. in English from the University
of Virginia, an M.A.in English from Georgetown University,
and a B.S. in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins
University. |

Thomas P. Morra, MA
Professor Morra possesses 20 years of extensive experience
teaching Public Speaking and other courses in various
communication disciplines at the college and university
level. He has published scholarly articles outlining his
research in communications education and is currently
working with Kendall Hunt Publishing in developing an
Intercultural Communication textbook to accompany courses he
developed for NOVA’s Extended Learning Institute, where he
functions as a curricular consultant.
Mr. Morra earned an M.A. in Conunseling Psychology from
Marymount University, an M.A. in Communication Arts from
Montclair State University, NJ, and a B.A. in Speech
Communication from East Stroudsburg University, PA. In
addition, Mr. Morra has successfully completed 36 semester
credit hours of Post Graduate Studies in Public
Communication at the University of Maryland. |

S. David Burke, DBA, ME, PMP
Dr. Burke has 30 years of engineering experience, including
more than 20 years in engineering management supporting
multi-million dollar U.S. Department of Energy capital asset
projects, nuclear facility operations, safety documentation
development, and nuclear fuel management. He has served
positions as Chief Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer
and Scientist and Manager at Washington Savannah River
Company/Savannah River Remediation. He is now the SRR
Control Systems Engineering Manager focusing on continuous
improvement and computing innovation.
Dr. Burke earned his Doctorate in Business Administration
with UMT. He also holds an M.E. in Mechanical Engineering
from the University of South Carolina, and a B.S. in Nuclear
Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is
a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Dr.
Burke has also achieved his ultimate goal: becoming a
Certified South Carolina Barbeque Judge.

Jacqueline Howard, MBA, PMP, CSBB
Ms. Jacqueline Howard has led projects of varying size and
scope, both domestic and international for over 10 years at
GE and GE-Capital. She has worked extensively in the human
resources, payroll and tax areas, including the
implementation and redesign of new payroll systems in Japan
and the UK. She also led multiple projects focused on six
sigma and lean principles, in both the services and
healthcare industries. These efforts involved all aspects of
project management, including vendor selection, change
management, scoping and planning, execution and control. She
is proud to be an Air Force spouse and has lived all over
the U.S. and abroad.
Ms. Howard holds an MBA from the University of Management
and Technology, Arlington VA, and a BA from Gustavus
Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She is a Certified Six
Sigma Black Belt (CSBB) and Project Management Professional
(PMP). |

John Hu, MS
Mr. Hu had been working in the Aerospace and Defense
industry since 2000. As an engineering manager at Northrop
Grumman, he identified and addressed technology gaps in the
company's long range strategies in areas such as unmanned
systems, cyber security and attack, processing systems and
software. He was a project manager on various airborne
surveillance radar programs, ground based detection and
tracking radar programs and electronic warfare systems. In
his role as supply chain management strategic sourcing
manager, he negotiated contracts, created and maintained
supplier relationship and resolved program supply chain
issues. He was also a team lead on internal research and
development projects. In addition, He worked in various
positions within systems engineering, digital systems, test
engineering, quality and business development. Mr. Hu was a
member of Northrop Grumman's fire brigade assisting and
engaging in fire and rescue with the fire department.
Mr. Hu holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue
University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Virginia. While at Purdue, Mr. Hu received the
prestigious Magoon Award for teaching excellence. He was the
President of IEEE at University of Virginia. |

Renee Warren, MSCS
Ms. Warren teaches and develops courses in computer science
and IT, including JavaScript, Java, C++, VisualBasic (.NET),
Algorithms, data structures, and database, and Web
publishing using HTML. Prior to teaching at UMT, Ms. Warren
served as an adjunct faculty member and subject matter
specialist at Grantham University from 2001-2004.
Ms. Renee Warren holds an M.S. in Computer Science from
University of Management & Technology and a B.S. in
Mathematics from the State University of New York at
Binghamton.

Bryan E. Stambaugh, PhD, PMP, CPCM
Dr. Stambaugh has been working in the Aerospace and Defense
industry for over 32 years, with extensive domestic and
international experience. As Director of Business Winning
Operations & Excellence with BAE Systems, he oversees many
activities instrumental to investing in and acquiring new
business. His broad functional and Program Management
experience transcends all phases of the project life cycle,
whether perpetuating existing business or competing for
truly new business. Core to his business philosophy is
pulling Customer Voice into the heart of operations to build
relationships and help guide strategic direction of the
enterprise.
Dr. Stambaugh holds a Ph.D. in Management from the
University of Management & Technology, an MBA from Mount St.
Mary’s University and a BA from York College of PA. He is a
certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified
Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) and he graduated from
the Advanced Program Management Course sponsored by the
Defense Systems Management College. Bryan also completed
executive certificate programs in International Business
Management sponsored by Penn State and Georgetown
University, has held adjunct faculty status with four
colleges and has several publications to his credit. |

Timothy M. Riley, MBA-PM, MSIT-MIS
Tim Riley serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for
multiple UMT Computer Science and Information Technology
courses. Through UMT, Mr. Riley holds the following degrees;
Master of Business Administration majoring in Project
Management, Master of Science majoring in Management
Information Systems, and Bachelor and Associate degrees in
Business Administration. He is also a former U.S. Army Staff
Sergeant, and Persian Gulf Veteran, with 12½ years of active
duty service credit. His Military Occupational Specialty
(MOS) was focused on Satellite Communications; specifically
on spacecraft orbital platform operations, spacecraft
payload control operations, and terrestrial special circuits
design & fielding.
Tim Riley served 10 years as a Project Manager and General
Contractor in the Building Trades. After his military tours,
he served 6 years as a Satellite Network Operations Center
Manager for the largest Provider of Satellites, Satellite
Capacity, and Satellite Services worldwide. For a period of
7 years Mr. Riley was a Project and Program Manager for the
1st, 2nd, and 4th largest world-wide Satellite Industry
Leaders providing products, services, and support for both
Government and Commercial programs and users.
During 2013 and 2014, Tim Riley had the honor of directly
fulfilling a Program Management position within NASA (in
Cleveland, OH) for the NASA SCaN Program. This was a role
that required him to directly coordinate the use of
terrestrial and satellite assets aboard the International
Space Station (ISS). His most recent role is that of
Management & Program Analyst for the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS). Tim attributes his career success to God's
grace and UMT's instruction. |

Adrian P. Vancea, Ph.D.
Dr. Adrian P. Vancea is the primary mathematics instructor
at the University of Management and Technology. His
background in mathematics and statistics makes him highly
qualified to teach courses such as College Algebra, College
Trigonometry, Basic Statistics, Finite Math, and Calculus.
Dr. Vancea holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University
of Maryland, Baltimore County (2009), an M.S. in Statistics
from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (2010), an
M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Babes-Bolyai University,
Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2003), and a B.S. in Mathematics from
Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2002).
Dr. Vancea currently serves as Program Analyst/Statistician
at the National Institute of Health (NIH). Prior to this
position, he served as a biostatistician at the Henry M.
Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine,
Inc. (2010-2013). During that time, he was also an adjunct
faculty member at the Georgetown University teaching
statistics. From 2003-2010, he was a faculty member the
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in the
Mathematics Department.
Dr. Vancea has published articles in scholarly journals on
various math, statistics, mathematical modeling, mathematic
informatics and biomathematics subjects. Dr. Vancea also
published a book, Advanced Algebra, in 2000. In addition, as
a student, Dr. Vancea won international and national awards
in mathematics contests and competitions. |

William Vaughan Wilburn, MA
Mr. Wilburn has 16 years of experience teaching college
courses in sociology, including Introduction to Sociology,
Race Relations, Marriage & the Family, Social Work, and
Social Psychology. His teaching philosophy is grounded in
his diligence in striving to connect what students cover in
class to insights on life's lessons.
He previously taught for Florida Junior College in
Jacksonville, FL in the Programs Afloat College Education
(PACE) program aboard a U.S. Navy Destroyer and is an
honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S.
Army, where he served as paratrooper and social worker. He
also held the position of adjunct internet sociology
instructor at Chowan University and Southeastern Community
College.
Mr. Wilburn holds an M.A. in Sociology from the University
of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a B.S. in Business
Administration from Austin Peay State College in
Clarksville, TN. He authored the article "Testing Talcott
Parsons Theory of Motivation," published in the Journal
of Social Psychology. |

David Lipton, M.A., M.A., M.S.
Professor Lipton holds two Master of Arts degrees in
History, one with a concentration in American History from
Rutgers University and New Jersey Institute of Technology,
and the other with a concentration in Global History from
American Military University. He also holds a Bachelor of
Arts in History from Jersey City State College, graduating Summa
cum Laude with
the distinction of National Dean’s List and member of the
Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Previously, he earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Science
degree in Computer Science at San Francisco State
University.
Professor Lipton has extensive teaching experience as an
Adjunct Professor of History. He has taught Modern Global
History, the History of Western Civilization I and II,
American History I and II, Contemporary American History,
and the History of Aging in America. He has taught both in
classrooms and online.
For more than 20 years, Mr. Lipton has presented on current
topics in History at numerous conferences, including the
Annual Conference of the Mid-Atlantic World Association
(MAWHA). He is author of five books, including Premodern
Antarctic World Ethnohistory (2005)
and History’s
Philosophy through Debates (2006). |

Kenneth R. Lang, MS
Mr. Lang is a retired 25-year law enforcement veteran from
Maryland. His career began with the Havre de Grace Police
Department in 1989 before joining the Baltimore County
Police Department where he remained for 23 years.
During his career Mr. Lang initially served in the patrol
division before his acceptance into the Criminal
Investigation Division. There he was assigned to the Crimes
Against Persons Section where he investigated rapes,
robberies, and murders for 15 years. He is also an
accomplished craniofacial forensic artist and award-winning
author.
Mr. Lang holds a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice
Administration from Columbia Southern University, graduating
with magna cum laude honors with his bachelors. He currently
serves as the Director of Criminal Justice at the University
of Valley Forge. |

Roland J. Lewis, MSHS
Mr. Roland Lewis possesses over 14 years of combined
experience as a United States military combat veteran,
Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance contractor, and
Department of Defense civilian employee serving as a Special
Security Representative, Information Assurance Security
Officer, and Acquisition Security Specialist responsible for
the management and implementation of organizational security
programs traversing over multiple security disciplines
including Personnel , Operations, Communications,
Information, and Industrial Security as well as
Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection and Emergency Management
Mr. Lewis holds a Master of Science in Homeland Security as
well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the
University of Management and Technology. He is also a member
of the Delta Epsilon Tau International Honor Society. |

Dale Baker, MALD
Dale Baker has a diverse background in foreign affairs and
financial markets. He served as a US Foreign Service officer
from 1987-2000 with the former US Information Agency,
specializing in media relations, academic exchanges and
cultural outreach programs. His diplomatic career spanned
five tours overseas in southern Africa and the Balkans,
including Johannesburg, South Africa when the ANC was
unbanned (1989-1991), and Croatia and Bosnia in the
turbulent 1990's. He is proficient in Croatian and French.
Following his Foreign Service career, Mr. Baker started his
own equities management business, running investment
portfolios for private clients from 2000-2014. He also
authored numerous investing articles for various financial
Web sites. He subsequently worked in foreign investment
promotion for a Washington area firm, and currently consults
at Unicepta, a German media analysis company.
Dale Baker holds a BA in International Relations from Brown
University and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from
the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts
University. He also studied European politics at the
University of Kent in Canterbury, UK. |

Diane M. Zizak, Ph.D.
Dr. Zizak has conducted research and published in the areas
of implicit learning and the mere exposure effect. She has
also done research in subliminal processing and its effect
on decision making and evaluative judgments.
She has experience teaching college level courses in
psychology and education, as well as working as a teacher
trainer and staff developer for the NYC DOE. Her areas of
expertise include gifted education, literacy and curriculum
development. She is currently a UFT Teacher Center coach,
reading specialist and curriculum consultant for gifted
education.
Dr. Zizak holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from City University
of New York. She has a Masters Degree in Experimental
Psychology from Brooklyn College, as well as New York State
Certification in both Gifted Education and Reading. She
earned her B.A. in Psychology and Chinese at Hunter College. |

Don Kirk Macon, Ph.D., Ed.D
Dr. Don Kirk Macon is a recognized researcher and scholar in
multiple academic areas. Among his multi-disciplinary
degrees, Dr. Macon holds a Ph.D. in Humanities from the
Universidad Central de Nicaragua, an Ed.D. in E-Learning and
Educational Technology from Northcentral University, and a
Master of Arts in Humanities from California State
University, Dominguez Hills.
Dr. Macon is a certified public school educator in Texas and
in New Mexico with licenses for superintendent, principal,
librarian, and classroom teacher with credentials in
English, Social Studies, Physical Education, Special
Education, English as a Second Language (ESL), Early
Childhood Education, Gifted Education, Psychology, and
Technology Education. He has won Teacher of the Year on a
public school campus as well as Most Outstanding Faculty
Member on a university campus.
He has developed workshops and has conducted professional
development seminars across the United States in
consultation with educational organizations and
institutions. Dr. Macon is affiliated with several
professional organizations, including the New Mexico Library
Association, National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE),
the National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies
(NACCS), and Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning
and Online Teaching (MERLOT).
Dr. Macon has also been a keynote speaker at conventions and
conferences in New Mexico, Wyoming, and Texas. Aside from
his consulting and teaching responsibilities, he designs
courses and teaches for several institutions of higher
learning. |

Yingda Xu
Ms. Xu teaches and develops courses in economics, marketing,
and on a wide range of management topics, such as
organizational behaviors, human resource management and
leadership.
Prior to joining UMT, Ms. Xu worked for the Swiss
multinational pharmaceutical company, Novartis, in its
offices in Beijing, China, holding positions in human
resource management. She worked extensively in all the
facets of human resource management, including organization
and employee development, information system, compensation
and benefit, and training.
While pursuing her MBA degree, she was involved in a U.S.
Department of Education funded project on identifying
private and public strategies to expand foreign trade in
Louisiana.
Ms. Yinda Xu holds an MBA from Loyola University New Orleans
and a B.A. in English/International Relations from Beijing
Foreign Studies University, China. She is a member of The
Honor Society of Beta Gamma |
